Spectators: 6906 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugo Lartaun kicked off to start the match. Kazimierz Czeszejko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Guib in the 8th minute of play. Hugo Aznaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kazimierz Czeszejko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, real madrid roster's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Lartaun came free, but Cecilio Mero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, real madrid roster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Txatxu to maneuver through the defense. If Cecilio Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Anastasio Tiadoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Liher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kazimierz Czeszejko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Txatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 36 played minutes Cruz Azul got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Enmanuel. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Hugo Lartaun took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cecilio Mero to make any attempt to save it. If Anastasio Tiadoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hipolito Guib came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the real madrid roster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Guib couldn't finish the play.

In the 55th minute, Hugo Aznaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hipolito Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Aznaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kazimierz Czeszejko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Aznaro scored 1-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kazimierz Czeszejko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Aznaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Kazimierz Czeszejko made a huge save. Cecilio Mero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the real madrid roster defense, Hugo Lartaun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cecilio Mero. The real madrid roster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cecilio Mero should have stopped the shot. Octavio Ramone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Cecilio Txatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hipolito Guib struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Kazimierz Czeszejko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for real madrid roster. If Anastasio Tiadoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of real madrid roster's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. real madrid roster may have spent more time on the ball, but Cruz Azul were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
