The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Bartolome showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernan Tercero hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Paulino Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Bartolome having to interfere. Chilca AFC's Cristian Bartolome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Suero in the 23rd minute of play. Cristian Bartolome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Suero in the 31st minute of play. Bruno Chaime fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Oalo having to interfere. Isidro Oalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Tiso in the 40th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Generoso Tiso to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Generoso Tiso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Oalo. Chavarría's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Tiso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ciriaco Raymond kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Paulino Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Chavarría's Paulino Suero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Bartolome narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Chilca AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Cosme Calvet fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chavarría's protests and gave Cosme Calvet a yellow card for diving instead. Generoso Tiso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Isidro Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
