The referee ignored Luxray's protests and gave Melquiades Remir a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Luxray got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Remir. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Palban during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, 97´s Ninety Seven's Romulo Reno got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Edgardo Cisco hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melquiades Remir to make the kick off. The supporters of Luxray booed when 97´s Ninety Seven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Reno didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Luxray getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Javier Burni hit a great ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luxray's goalkeeper Eloy Bento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Dario Iztal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 97´s Ninety Seven fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 88th minute Albino Kismi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Bento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dario Iztal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Bento was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
