Arnulfo Oroitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Lander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, MANCHESTER UNITED's Freddy Tancredo got a free kick in the 12th minute. Maximino Eneas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Oroitz having to interfere. Aquilino Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnulfo Oroitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Lander in the 19th minute of play. Alvaro Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Oroitz having to interfere. The Solís AFC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Solís AFC's Alvaro Lander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ariel Pancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Iago having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Solís AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Nahia. After 42 minutes, Albino Salvino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The supporters of Solís AFC booed when MANCHESTER UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Salvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Solís AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 58th minute, Solís AFC's Maximino Eneas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnulfo Oroitz. Arnulfo Oroitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Maximino Eneas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes, Blas Toli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MANCHESTER UNITED and the Solís AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MANCHESTER UNITED getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Blas Toli hit a great ball. Solís AFC's Maximino Eneas got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Solís AFC's Alvaro Lander got a free kick in the 75th minute. Solís AFC's Ramiro Iago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Tancredo in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Stanislao in the 80th minute of play forced Solís AFC's goalkeeper Ramiro Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnulfo Oroitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Lander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Solís AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Solís AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
