Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonatan Eufemio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cipriano Teofilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ameghino FC booed when Cardozos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Israel Dolfos hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Cardozos's Cipriano Teofilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Cardozos from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cardozos's Dario Kiliz got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Jonatan Eufemio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jonatan Eufemio came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ameghino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Eufemio couldn't finish the play. Albano Matia's late challenge caught a Ameghino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Matia helped the player get up and apologised. Jonatan Eufemio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cipriano Teofilio having to make a save. If Victorino Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute Arsenio Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Silbestre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenio Lixandro struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Denis Silbestre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozos. The supporters of Cardozos booed when Ameghino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Domiku didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Teofilio having to interfere. Victorino Castulo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Teofilio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Castulo ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonatan Eufemio was the one to do the kick off. Cipriano Teofilio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Ameghino FC's Jonatan Eufemio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cipriano Teofilio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Victorino Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Teofilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Eufemio in the 72nd minute of play. Cipriano Teofilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Eufemio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Teofilio having to interfere. The corner led Ameghino FC's Emiliano Domiku to fire away a dangerous shot which Cipriano Teofilio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ameghino FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
