Cosme Rius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Urko in the 6th minute. Teo Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Generoso Santos hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Teo Urko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cosme Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteve Txartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mascasín AFC's Pastor Etor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Arotza in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Esteve Txartiko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mascasín AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteve Txartiko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Rius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cosme Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Txartiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Banfield's Teobaldo Arotza got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mascasín AFC's Pastor Etor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Gomesano in the 37th minute of play. Cosme Rius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Iratze went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Pastor Etor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Gomesano in the 54th minute. Elvio Gomesano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Teo Urko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Rius having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Teo Urko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cosme Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Txartiko in the 64th minute of play. Esteve Txartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mascasín AFC booed when Banfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Vellito didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Teo Urko, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 74 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cosme Rius was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Esteve Txartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Mascasín AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Iratze. Teo Urko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cosme Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teobaldo Arotza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elvio Gomesano might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pastor Etor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elvio Gomesano ran back to his position shaking his head.
