The long shot by Basilio Maxin in the 12th minute really tested Ricardo Bartoleme's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ricardo Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Teyo in the 17th minute of play. Orlando Lalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ricardo Bartoleme made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Angelino Tiso had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Orlando Lalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Godofredo Eutor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Navarro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Eutor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruperto Ovando spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Carpintería's goal. Orlando Lalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Bartoleme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Lalla ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Orlando Lalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpintería's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Lalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Bartoleme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ruperto Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Lalla struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ricardo Bartoleme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpintería. Orlando Lalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Ricardo Bartoleme made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Orlando Lalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes Navarro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Lucian. After having played for 61 minutes, Orlando Lalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpintería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Lalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 minutes, Antonio Astigar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpintería and the Navarro AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Antonio Astigar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Eutor might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Frascuelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godofredo Eutor ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Bartoleme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Lalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Orlando Lalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpintería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Lalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Lalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ricardo Bartoleme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Navarro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Teofilio to maneuver through the defense. Carpintería were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
