But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Silban couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Parera AFC booed when Golondrinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Parera AFC's Apolo Paz tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marciano Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Jakes, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Gualterio Jakes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Lekubegi charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Lekubegi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Parera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Lekubegi. Marciano Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Jakes in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Rigoberto Silban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golondrinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Silban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristo Hermelando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alejo Formerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Pacifico in the 36th minute of play forced Golondrinas's goalkeeper Alejo Formerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Peter having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Rigoberto Silban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golondrinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Silban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Gualterio Jakes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Parera AFC's Marciano Peter. Marciano Peter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gualterio Jakes to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Cristo Hermelando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Formerio was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. If Gualterio Jakes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
