Geronimo Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Valerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sport club defense, Alejandro Mikelats kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geronimo Donzel. The Sport club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Donzel should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Casimiro Opilano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Vistruario, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Alejandro Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for DIABLOS ROJOS. Severino Vistruario stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geronimo Donzel. 0-2. The Sport club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DIABLOS ROJOS were winning 0-2.

The audience was convinced that Javier Magdaleno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Donzel was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Geronimo Donzel made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Severino Vistruario sent off a good shot on target. Geronimo Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Ortle in the 75th minute of play. Everardo Heriberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Dimo, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Rosalio in the 86th minute of play forced DIABLOS ROJOS's goalkeeper Everardo Heriberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, DIABLOS ROJOS's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Efren came free, but Everardo Heriberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sport club getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Fabian Rosalio hit a great ball. The Sport club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DIABLOS ROJOS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
