Spectators: 6825 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) Sarmiento AFC's Fidel Maura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fidel Maura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Ariando having to interfere. When Sarmiento AFC's Marcelo Chorache in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Xoloitzcuintle's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Fidel Maura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Maura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartolo Toli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Gabirel in the 14th minute. Fidel Maura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Fidel Maura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xoloitzcuintle's Cayetano Ariando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Corderall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartolo Toli having to make a save. Bartolo Toli made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Uriel Gabirel sent off a good shot on target. Cayetano Ariando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Chorache went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fidel Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Uriel Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento AFC's Marco Eufrasio got a free kick in the 41st minute. Bartolo Toli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Corderall in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Blas Goito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Derwin, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Corderall to make the kick off. Fidel Maura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cayetano Ariando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento AFC's Albano Cresencio got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sarmiento AFC's Bartolo Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Corderall in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Eufrasio during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Eufrasio kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Xoloitzcuintle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Maria to maneuver through the defense. Denis Cordaryal charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Cordaryal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Xoloitzcuintle booed when Sarmiento AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Cordaryal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Uriel Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cirilo Mikelats hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Fidel Maura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Fidel Maura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Maura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Xoloitzcuintle's Cayetano Ariando got control of the ball when Marcelo Chorache tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Xoloitzcuintle's zone, Marcelo Chorache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Ariando came out of the goal and Marcelo Chorache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Uriel Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Gabirel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Toli having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Corderall came free, but Bartolo Toli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sarmiento AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
