The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Carolina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Etxatxu came free, but Epifanio Gauargi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosario AFC's Nicanor Etxatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Carolina AFC's Carolo Hitzeder got a free kick in the 13th minute. Epifanio Gauargi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicanor Etxatxu went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Rosario AFC booed when Carolina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Luar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Epifanio Gauargi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicanor Etxatxu's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Julio Uhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Rosario AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. Carolina AFC's Robustiano Goren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rosario AFC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Merexildo during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Carolina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Merexildo to maneuver through the defense. Julio Uhin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Dabi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Gauargi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 48th minute Carlos Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Dabi was the one to do the kick off. Nicanor Etxatxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Epifanio Gauargi made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Etxatxu got free with Epifanio Gauargi in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Dabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Delmar Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Alonzo Navarro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ambrosio Urre was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 69th minute Carlos Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Epifanio Gauargi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Etxatxu got free with Epifanio Gauargi in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Dabi in the 78th minute of play forced Carolina AFC's goalkeeper Epifanio Gauargi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Dabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Epifanio Gauargi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Epifanio Gauargi came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario AFC's Nicanor Etxatxu. But to his dismay, Nicanor Etxatxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Nicanor Etxatxu fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario AFC's protests and gave Nicanor Etxatxu a yellow card for diving instead. Nicanor Etxatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Epifanio Gauargi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Etxatxu in the 93rd minute. During the 95th minute of the match Everardo Merexildo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Everardo Merexildo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 96th match minute, Carolina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Merexildo to maneuver through the defense. Rosario AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
