In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlas FC's goalkeeper Mario Lertxun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atlas FC's Mario Lertxun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Pagomari in the 13th minute of play. Ricardo Fagildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Silvano Chale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Chale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Sadurni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the game, Silvano Chale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trinchera AFC the free kick. After 21 played minutes Atlas FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Chale. In the 27th minute, Manuel Pagomari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mario Lertxun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Pagomari's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 42nd minute, Manuel Pagomari made a precise shot to the right of Mario Lertxun. Atlas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mario Lertxun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Cambranes in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Pagomari to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Pagomari in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Lertxun saved Atlas FC from getting behind. Sergio Sadurni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Constancio in the 59th minute of the match. Silvano Chale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergio Cambranes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Lertxun having to interfere. Manuel Pagomari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Atlas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Pagomari came free, but Mario Lertxun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlas FC's Siro Dantel got a free kick in the 70th minute. Mario Lertxun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Pagomari in the 71st minute of play. Atlas FC's Flavio Constancio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sergio Cambranes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Mario Lertxun managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Trinchera AFC's Sergio Cambranes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clodoveo Feliz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sergio Sadurni. Trinchera AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Trinchera AFC's zone, Silvano Chale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Sadurni came out of the goal and Silvano Chale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlas FC's goalkeeper Mario Lertxun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
