In the 2nd minute, Alfredo Ignatius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Selmo having to interfere. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gómez AFC! Leopoldo Herauso shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Severino Naldo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gavino Selmo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Elvio Araoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Gómez AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Isaio came free, but Gavino Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Selmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Isaio in the 20th minute of play. If Jesus Isaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Abramo AFC's Jesus Isaio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavino Selmo. Gavino Selmo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the game, Elvio Araoz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hilario Laurgain. Elvio Araoz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Alfredo Ignatius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Severino Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gómez AFC's Gavino Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Isaio in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Severino Naldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abramo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Naldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Selmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gavino Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alfredo Ignatius was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. In the 87th match minute, Gómez AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. Abramo AFC's Jesus Isaio got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abramo AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
