Club Deportivo Toluca FC's Astor Atarrabi got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Gabon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Martxelin having to interfere. Santos Martxelin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Gabon's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute of the match, Artemio Lauro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mateo Oskitz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 21 played minutes F.C. Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Santo Gartzen. Santos Martxelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Atarrabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to F.C. Ajax getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Santo Gartzen hit a great ball. Club Deportivo Toluca FC's Manuel Gabon got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Astor Atarrabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Artemio Lauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Prospero Fidensio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, F.C. Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Gabon came free, but Santos Martxelin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Santo Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Oskitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Ajax's zone, Astor Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Martxelin came out of the goal and Astor Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santo Gartzen made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gogo Dimo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Ajax fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Angel Daunte kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Toluca FC's Eloy Chorache made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santos Martxelin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mateo Oskitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Gartzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Oskitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Gartzen in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Belasko in the 80th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Toluca FC's goalkeeper Mateo Oskitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Toluca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Gartzen came free, but Mateo Oskitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Martxelin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Gabon went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
