The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Hats got free with Leonardo Claris in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the game, Apolo Marin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Potrero FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ovejería FC the free kick. In the 5th minute, Apolo Marin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Quexal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Orlo having to interfere. Tomás Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Leonardo Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Potrero FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rafael Frutos hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Niceto Videl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Leonardo Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustino Maraman to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Benito Quexal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freddy Orlo. Benito Quexal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 57th minute, Isaias Rufo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Claris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Quinten, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. But to his dismay, Tomás Hats quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Leonardo Claris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Maraman in the 91st minute of the match. Potrero FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
