Humberto Hanni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Cruz Azul œ's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Pitin came free, but Humberto Hanni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Arnulfo Panfilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linkin Maiik FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Panfilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Hanni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 minutes of play, Linkin Maiik FC's Arnulfo Panfilo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Hanni was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute Victorino Gitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Ermengol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linkin Maiik FC's Arnulfo Panfilo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Cruz Azul œ's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Pitin came free, but Humberto Hanni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Oscar Pitin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Hanni. Cruz Azul œ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Pitin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Cruz Azul œ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Gitano to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Hanni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Pitin's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Oscar Pitin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Pitin hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Cruz Azul œ's goalkeeper Humberto Hanni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Pitin. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cruz Azul œ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oscar Pitin was slow to take the kick. During this time Linkin Maiik FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Linkin Maiik FC's Oscar Pitin to fire away a dangerous shot which Humberto Hanni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Victorino Gitano was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 65th match minute, Cruz Azul œ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Gitano to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Marcelino Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruz Azul œ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linkin Maiik FC the free kick. Marcelino Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Oscar Pitin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Humberto Hanni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Pitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Hanni was a little too slow when Arnulfo Panfilo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 85th minute, Arnulfo Panfilo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Humberto Hanni. The goal made the score 0-6. Oscar Pitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Panfilo in the 96th minute of play. 100 minutes in the game, Oscar Pitin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Humberto Hanni having to interfere. When the match was over Linkin Maiik FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cruz Azul œ throughout the match.
