After a defensive mix-up in REA AZUL F.C's zone, Delmiro Pelagius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Mikelats came out of the goal and Delmiro Pelagius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the game, Rene Calvet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REA AZUL F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cervantes AFC the free kick. In the 26th match minute, REA AZUL F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Calvet to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Mikelats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Eleder, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind REA AZUL F.C's goalkeeper Alvaro Mikelats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Eleder in the 36th minute of play. Delmiro Pelagius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Mikelats having to interfere. If Jimeno Eleder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of REA AZUL F.C booed when Cervantes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 55th minute, Samuel Muc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristo Salamon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, REA AZUL F.C's Alvaro Mikelats got control of the ball when Delmiro Pelagius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jimeno Eleder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Mikelats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 63 minutes, Ezequiel Mattin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the REA AZUL F.C and the Cervantes AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 65 minutes into the game, Mario Lidon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cristo Salamon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Isidoro Bide sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Alvaro Mikelats threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Isidoro Bide this time. Delmiro Pelagius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Alvaro Mikelats made a huge save. Alvaro Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Eleder in the 72nd minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, REA AZUL F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Udalaitz to maneuver through the defense. If Delmiro Pelagius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Mario Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REA AZUL F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Lidon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Muc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cristo Salamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristo Salamon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Muc, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Ariel Hechter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. REA AZUL F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
