In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rufino's goalkeeper Emilio Frascuelo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Taficillo FC's Amancio Ferrando in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benedicto Txema's late challenge caught a Taficillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Txema helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Rufino got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Txema. Javier Hechter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Venerando having to interfere. Javier Hechter struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Filiberto Venerando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rufino. Filiberto Venerando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Jaunzuria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the match, Taficillo FC's goalkeeper Filiberto Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elias Jaunzuria. Elias Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Venerando having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Taficillo FC's Robustiano Mateo got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 77th match minute, Taficillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Erasto to maneuver through the defense. When Javier Hechter came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Rufino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Hechter couldn't finish the play. Gervasio Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elias Jaunzuria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Rufino's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Rufino may have spent more time on the ball, but Taficillo FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
