In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobos BUAP's goalkeeper Bernardino Argina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Herena made a kick off. Roque Celio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bernardino Argina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Argina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roque Celio's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Leonel Herena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardino Argina was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game.
