The excitement rose when Anguilan FC's Gogo Velasco after 7 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Tipal's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-0. Silvestre Fernendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Etxepare having to interfere. Valentin Ascencio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Hipolito Rio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Tipal's Hipolito Rio got control of the ball when Albano Ramirez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Tipal's goalkeeper Hipolito Rio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Ascencio. Anguilan FC's Ovidio Etxepare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Ignado in the 34th minute of play. Tipal's Clemente Jesco got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tipal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Anguilan FC. Gogo Velasco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hipolito Rio. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Saul Taurino made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Anguilan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Ignado came free, but Ovidio Etxepare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tipal were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Anguilan FC to leave the ground with a draw.
