In the 14th minute, Tilquicho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnaldo Gau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Bonifacio Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Tilquicho's Eustaquio Peio got control of the ball when Arnaldo Gau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bonifacio Cordearo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eustaquio Peio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tilquicho's Urbano Boniel got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnaldo Gau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Peio having to interfere. Bonifacio Cordearo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Heli was the one to do the kick off. Tilquicho's Baldomero Lizar got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bonifacio Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Peio having to interfere. Geronimo Guib's late challenge caught a Barraquero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geronimo Guib helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barraquero booed when Tilquicho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tilquicho's Eustaquio Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Cordearo in the 66th minute of play. Agustin Montae hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Bonifacio Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustaquio Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Gau in the 78th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
