In the 5th minute Hugo Kemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Qetzales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Kemen came free, but Israel Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atilano Mero charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atilano Mero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes Qetzales FC got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Mero. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Qetzales FC's goalkeeper Israel Mingo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Hugo Kemen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Kemen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Israel Mingo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cleto Elizardo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Qetzales FC's Israel Mingo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Kemen in the 23rd minute of play. Venancio Petrigai kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Qetzales FC booed when Guanaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Armada didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Kemen in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Israel Mingo saved Qetzales FC from getting behind. After 32 minutes, Hugo Kemen made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Qetzales FC's Israel Mingo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Hugo Kemen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Israel Mingo was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Israel Mingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Kemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 44th minute Maximino Larra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Dodorol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Severo Armada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Israel Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Kemen in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Qetzales FC's Patricio Jokin got a free kick in the 59th minute. Israel Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Joey in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Anacleto Gilabert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qetzales FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guanaco the free kick. After 62 played minutes Qetzales FC got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Gilabert. Severo Armada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Mingo having to interfere. Venancio Petrigai took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Israel Mingo. Israel Mingo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Guanaco's Hugo Kemen got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Severo Armada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guanaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Armada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Kemen in the 88th minute of play forced Qetzales FC's goalkeeper Israel Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Kemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Mingo having to interfere. The Qetzales FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guanaco were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
