When Ivan Xacintu came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Palmas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Xacintu couldn't finish the play. Ladislao Cebo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Severiano Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Fonso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gogo Gaueko's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A collision led to Palmas AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Celedonio Stephen hit a great ball. Mateo Fonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Beat in the 14th minute of play. Mateo Fonso came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by British Falklands Club's Gogo Gaueko. But to his dismay, Gogo Gaueko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of British Falklands Club booed when Palmas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Mingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severiano Checa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enzo Pirro having to make a save. After 30 played minutes Palmas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Mingo. Mateo Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Beat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severiano Beat's late challenge caught a Palmas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severiano Beat helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes British Falklands Club got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Beat. After a defensive mix-up in British Falklands Club's zone, Justino Aires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Pirro came out of the goal and Justino Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severiano Checa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Enzo Pirro made a huge save. Ladislao Cebo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severiano Checa was the one to do the kick off. Moises Peru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregorio Frichoso kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Justino Aires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Peru hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Celedonio Stephen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Stephen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gogo Gaueko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes British Falklands Club got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Beat. In the 90th minute, Justino Aires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 played minutes Gogo Gaueko rounded Palmas AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched British Falklands Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
