Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1871, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lucas Poncio took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, Carapato FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Erdiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Libardo Cabrera. The audience thought a goal was coming when Libardo Cabrera got free with Arnulfo Erdiano in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Carapato FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Erdiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Libardo Cabrera. Arnulfo Erdiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Libardo Cabrera in the 18th minute. Arnulfo Erdiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Monzon in the 19th minute of the match. A hard shot by Victorino Gaitano from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Arnulfo Erdiano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 25th minute of the match, Adolfo Monzon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnulfo Erdiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Libardo Cabrera took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulfo Erdiano. Arnulfo Erdiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Monzon in the 30th minute of play forced Carapato FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Erdiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Libardo Cabrera did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Arnulfo Erdiano 32 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Carapato FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Erdiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Libardo Cabrera. If Adolfo Monzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Carapato FC's zone, Adolfo Monzon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Erdiano came out of the goal and Adolfo Monzon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Carapato FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lucas Poncio hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Libardo Cabrera made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Osvaldo Larpe had to leave the field with a concussion. 56 minutes into the game, Adolfo Monzon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Arnulfo Erdiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carapato FC's Arnulfo Erdiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libardo Cabrera in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Carapato FC booed when Cañete AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Nazario didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Monzon in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Erdiano saved Carapato FC from getting behind. When Cañete AFC's Libardo Cabrera in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carapato FC's goalie prevented a goal. Lucas Poncio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Carapato FC's zone, Libardo Cabrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Erdiano came out of the goal and Libardo Cabrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90th play minutes Adolfo Monzon shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Arnulfo Erdiano and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Adolfo Monzon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cañete AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Monzon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Erdiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carapato FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cañete AFC.
