Romulo Lalla ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Gallinas Sayayinas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aquiles Marco hit a great ball. Santa Fe's Silverio Sanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Perfecto in the 31st minute of play. Romulo Lalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Quilo having to interfere. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Roque Roso sped through Gallinas Sayayinas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tiburcio Quilo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Lalla in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiburcio Quilo saved Gallinas Sayayinas from getting behind. Tiburcio Quilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Lalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Tiburcio Quilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Lalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes in the game, Aquiles Marco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Silverio Sanson having to interfere. Gilberto Raymond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gallinas Sayayinas's Tiburcio Quilo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gallinas Sayayinas's Tiburcio Quilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Lalla in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Lalla in the 84th minute of play forced Gallinas Sayayinas's goalkeeper Tiburcio Quilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Gilberto Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Quilo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Marco hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Juan Fernando Pratto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. Santa Fe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
