In the 21stth minute of the game Edgard Llope who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s Flavio Galtero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute Benicio Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Galtero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Theodore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Estebe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half FC Colibries were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Rolando Theodore came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Puebla de la Franja F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Theodore couldn't finish the play. Remigio Estebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Theodore, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. But to his dismay, Santos Jakes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Rolando Theodore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Edgard Llope managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Colibries's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Llope was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s Flavio Galtero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Puebla de la Franja F.C. from getting a goal against them.
