The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benicio Tonete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Erubiel Errolan made a huge save. After 7 played minutes, FC Colibries's Roberto Venerando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erubiel Errolan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Colibries reached it. In the 11th minute Claudio Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Llope in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erubiel Errolan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erubiel Errolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Llope in the 22nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Edgard Llope took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Erubiel Errolan to make any attempt to save it. Claudio Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Estebe having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

55 minutes into the game, Eulalio Tibalt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alebrijes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Colibries the free kick. Erubiel Errolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benicio Tonete's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, one of FC Colibries:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Colibries. Erubiel Errolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, FC Colibries's Benicio Tonete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erubiel Errolan narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
