The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The long shot by Mauricio Pabla in the 8th minute really tested Leandro Kiliz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Wilfredo Artaldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Leandro Kiliz made a huge save. A collision led to Selvas FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Victorino Chico hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Wilfredo Artaldo made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Kiliz. Selvas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 20 played minutes Tomás Silviano rounded Selvas FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Carmelo Beturian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Calvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Selvas FC's Modesto Donio got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 33 minutes, Mario Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selvas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Mario Calvino struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Carmelo Beturian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selvas FC.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Silviano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Modesto Donio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Beturian having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Correcaminos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Rius to maneuver through the defense. Selvas FC's Tomas Ugutz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Correcaminos. 76 minutes into the match, Selvas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Artaldo came free, but Leandro Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Selvas FC's zone, Tomás Silviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Kiliz came out of the goal and Tomás Silviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Artaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Kiliz was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. If Mario Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Artaldo in the 97th minute of play forced Selvas FC's goalkeeper Leandro Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Beturian was a little too slow when Modesto Donio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Correcaminos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Selvas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
