The referee ignored Norumbega's protests and gave Edgardo Egoi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Norumbega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Egoi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 5 minutes, Nemesio Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malargüe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eulalio Garaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Albano Rios made a huge save. Albano Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Markel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Rogelio Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Malargüe FC's Victorio Gau got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Malargüe FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gonzalo Merexildo hit a great ball.
