Leonides Tome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erubiel Rodas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Eliseo Estebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonides Tome succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Đặng Nghiêm-Minh in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Loren saved Quiroga from getting behind. Tanti's Saul Raymond got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Đặng Nghiêm-Minh came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Tanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đặng Nghiêm-Minh couldn't finish the play. Saul Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Loren having to interfere. The supporters of Tanti booed when Quiroga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Asur didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Tanti got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Mon. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Eliseo Estebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiroga's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Estebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Rodas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonides Tome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes, Leonides Tome mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quiroga and the Tanti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Quiroga's Leonides Tome got a free kick in the 64th minute. Tanti's Erubiel Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Tome in the 67th minute of play. Erubiel Rodas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Tome in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Anier Asur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Estebe took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erubiel Rodas. Erubiel Rodas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 81st minute, Leonides Tome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erubiel Rodas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Estebe in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tanti's zone, Leonides Tome stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Rodas came out of the goal and Leonides Tome tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Saul Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tanti getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Haroldo Caradaro hit a great ball. Saul Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
