In the 40th minute, German Aires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Artemio Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albano Rios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Donostia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Aires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Gustau having to interfere. Gus Brook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Malargüe FC had played much better football throughout.
