Romulo Vimaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Bernebe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Zapotecos FC's Esteban Laurin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidoro Bernebe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zapotecos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Leones the free kick. In the 96th minute of the match Mateo Urko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Reyes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Timoteo Sugoi came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the CF Leones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Sugoi couldn't finish the play. With his leg Isidoro Bernebe managed to avoid a goal in the 101stth minute, when Zapotecos FC's Mauro Franco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zapotecos FC played a much better game than CF Leones and deserved their victory. The CF Leones players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
