After having played for 46 minutes, Felix Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico national FT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Ciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Odilon in the 66th minute of play forced CF America's goalkeeper Rodrigo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Basilio Aznar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico national FT's Marcelo Remicio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Ralondo in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico national FT's goalkeeper Marcelo Remicio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CF America's Rodrigo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Artal in the 78th minute of play. Silvestre Ralondo's late challenge caught a Mexico national FT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 81 played minutes, Mexico national FT's Lorenzo Elorri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Llorienzo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico national FT reached it. In the 82nd match minute, CF America was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Mexico national FT's Marcelo Remicio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Fagondo in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Manuel Odilon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venancio Artal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Fagondo in the 92nd minute of play forced Mexico national FT's goalkeeper Marcelo Remicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Sesuldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Marcelo Remicio made a huge save. The CF America supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CF America would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
