The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santos Reynardo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Severo Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Eutropio in the 7th minute of play. Desiderio Karmel's late challenge caught a Elite FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desiderio Karmel helped the player get up and apologised. Desiderio Karmel hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Elite FC's Alvaro Eladio in action when he in the 11th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Desiderio Karmel was shown his second yellow card after 13 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Desiderio Karmel kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Braulio Canor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Severo Telesforo. The goal made the score 1-0. If Braulio Canor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If León Trotskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Dorados de Sinaloa's Braulio Canor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severo Telesforo. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. In the 34th minute, Braulio Canor fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Santos Reynardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severo Telesforo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Dorados de Sinaloa were awarded a corner. Santos Reynardo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Eleuterio Chepe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Severo Telesforo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Braulio Canor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severo Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Gabirel in the 41st minute of play. Alvaro Eladio hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Canor got free with Severo Telesforo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Braulio Canor to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Elite FC's zone, Simon Gabirel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Telesforo came out of the goal and Simon Gabirel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Telesforo having to interfere. Elite FC's Severo Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Gabirel in the 63rd minute of play. Severo Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Canor in the 67th minute of the match. Braulio Canor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Severo Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorados de Sinaloa's Braulio Canor got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Braulio Canor came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Dorados de Sinaloa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Canor couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Braulio Canor in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severo Telesforo saved Elite FC from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Santos Reynardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Telesforo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Canor's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Santos Reynardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the game, Dorados de Sinaloa's Braulio Canor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Telesforo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Teodor in the 90th minute of play forced Elite FC's goalkeeper Severo Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Ramond Hernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elite FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dorados de Sinaloa the free kick. A collision led to Elite FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ramond Hernandez hit a great ball. Dorados de Sinaloa were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Elite FC for a fine match.
