Cosme Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Torpedos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Estevon came free, but Andres Niguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoldo Ponc scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andres Niguel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustaquio Roldan during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Torpedos AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eustaquio Roldan hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Manuel Barto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celta de Vigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Barto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andres Niguel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Manuel Barto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Hipolito Maria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torpedos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celta de Vigo the free kick. After 39 played minutes Torpedos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Maria. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Estevon in the 42nd minute of play forced Torpedos AFC's goalkeeper Andres Niguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Celta de Vigo's Arnoldo Ponc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Niguel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Torpedos AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Celta de Vigo were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Estevon made a kick off. Arnoldo Ponc struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Andres Niguel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celta de Vigo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Barto got free with Andres Niguel in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Manuel Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andres Niguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Estevon in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Torpedos AFC's Andres Niguel got control of the ball when Omar Estevon tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Manuel Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Torpedos AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Celta de Vigo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
