After a rather tough play, Celta de Vigo's Marco Olayo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Manuel Barto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Fabian Kauldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Mauricio Jerrold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santamarina AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Jerrold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Bruno Jon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Manuel Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Kauldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Estevon, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Cosme Godoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Gagriel. 31 minutes into the game, Placido Evarado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santamarina AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celta de Vigo the free kick. After 31 played minutes Santamarina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Evarado. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Cosme Godoy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 35 minutes into the match, Santamarina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Ponc came free, but Fabian Kauldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Kauldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Estevon, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Santamarina AFC's Mauricio Jerrold got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Arnoldo Ponc made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Kauldi. Santamarina AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Celta de Vigo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Omar Estevon made the kick off in the second half. Alejo Pabla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cosme Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santamarina AFC's Mauricio Jerrold got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingos Emeterio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Esteban Opilano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Placido Evarado made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bruno Jon immediately put the ball in play. Arnoldo Ponc might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Kauldi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnoldo Ponc ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Kauldi made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Manuel Barto sent off a good shot on target. 86 minutes into the game, Manuel Barto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Kauldi. Manuel Barto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Fabian Kauldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Dunixi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celta de Vigo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
