An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Pavon in the 23rd minute of play forced Volcanes de Colima FC's goalkeeper Roberto Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaggelis Rousses could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Roberto Eguen made a huge save. The attack was good, but when Vaggelis Rousses in the 66th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Roberto Eguen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Quin's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Roberto Eguen came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by deportivo madrid's Braulio Pavon. But to his dismay, Braulio Pavon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Braulio Pavon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelo Perico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. deportivo madrid's Braulio Pavon got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd match minute, Volcanes de Colima FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Lúcio Maldini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. deportivo madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Maldini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
