In the 11th match minute, Pipinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Ferman to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Ler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Gartzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Ricardo Gartzen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Teodosio Ler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Horacio Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Ler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Gartzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Ricardo Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Santo Ferman fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pipinas's protests and gave Santo Ferman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pipinas's goalkeeper Teodosio Ler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Jonathan Lluciano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SMARTS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Anastasio Alonso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With his leg Hernan Enekoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Pipinas's Benito Guillen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Gartzen was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Horacio Llin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pipinas's Teodosio Ler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodosio Ler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonathan Lluciano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 53 minute of play. In the 69th minute Ricardo Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Ler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Gartzen's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pipinas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eustacio Aureo was slow to take the kick. During this time SMARTS FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led SMARTS FC's Eustacio Aureo to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodosio Ler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Aureo in the 75th minute of play forced Pipinas's goalkeeper Teodosio Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, SMARTS FC's Eustacio Aureo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodosio Ler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. After some careless play in the Pipinas defense, Ricardo Gartzen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodosio Ler. The Pipinas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodosio Ler should have stopped the shot.
