Constantino Gaueko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 19 minutes of play, Real Madero's Raul Iturri made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Federigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severino Federigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Estebe in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Real Madero booed when Atletico Aztlan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Cordarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantino Gaueko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. 47 minutes into the match, Real Madero's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Bastian came free, but Constantino Gaueko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Real Madero were leading 3-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
