But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Ralondo couldn't finish the play. Aristides Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Grullork FC's zone, Timoteo Urre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baybars Tanbolat came out of the goal and Timoteo Urre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Santiago Palban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baybars Tanbolat was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Baybars Tanbolat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Palban's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 30th match minute, Grullork FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Ralondo to maneuver through the defense. Eulalio Jerano got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jimeno Artal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Santiago Palban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Español's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Palban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baybars Tanbolat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atletico Español's Armando Ugaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Español from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Ralondo made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Grullork FC's Jimeno Artal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armando Ugaitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aristides Vimaro hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Grullork FC defense, Santiago Palban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baybars Tanbolat. The Grullork FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baybars Tanbolat should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Ignacio Ralondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grullork FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Jimeno Artal took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Ugaitz. Armando Ugaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 74th minute of the match, Santiago Palban tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baybars Tanbolat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 74 played minutes Grullork FC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Vimaro. Armando Ugaitz came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Grullork FC's Ignacio Ralondo. But to his dismay, Ignacio Ralondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. After 81 played minutes Grullork FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Cordarin. A collision led to Grullork FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ragıp Taykoç hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Jimeno Artal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacio Ralondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Armando Ugaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Atletico Español's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Ralondo came free, but Armando Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
