After 27 played minutes Sementales FC got a freekick which was hit by Benito Ebardo. After 30 played minutes Halcones de Mérida got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Abancens. 33 minutes into the match, Sementales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Abancens came free, but Ermegildo Barto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Halcones de Mérida eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
