With a little luck, Toro Rosso FC's Severiano Montae got control of the ball when Robert Bagge tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Bagge got free with Severiano Montae in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute of the match Titanes Mayas got a corner. Toro Rosso FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yuri Manolev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Severiano Montae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Bagge in the 21st minute of the match. Mías Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wu Cheng De, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Zhang Xiang Han recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Zhang Xiang Han managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titanes Mayas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhang Xiang Han was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute Wu Cheng De shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Montae made an important save on a dangerous shot by Qian Han Zhen in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Souto in the 35th minute of play forced Toro Rosso FC's goalkeeper Severiano Montae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severiano Montae made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Bagge in the 37th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Freddy Bihar hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Titanes Mayas defense, Wu Cheng De kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mías Marin. The Titanes Mayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mías Marin should have stopped the shot. Severiano Montae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhang Xiang Han in the 70th minute of play. Severiano Montae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Blai in the 73rd minute of the match.
