Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carmelo Cortez kicked off to start the match. Carmelo Cortez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Daniel Escobar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Haywards Heath United's Daniel Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Olmedo in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Haywards Heath United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Henriquez to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Ivan Palencia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Escobar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Haywards Heath United's Ernesto Dubon got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Walmley City's Carmelo Cortez in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Haywards Heath United's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Escobar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Cortez's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Walmley City's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Villarreal came free, but Abraham Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmelo Cortez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Daniel Escobar made a huge save. After 28 played minutes Haywards Heath United got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Guevara. With a little luck, Haywards Heath United's Daniel Escobar got control of the ball when Carmelo Cortez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abraham Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Henriquez in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34th play minutes Carmelo Cortez shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Daniel Escobar and just under the crossbar into goal. Carmelo Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmelo Cortez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Escobar. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. After some careless play in the Haywards Heath United defense, Carmelo Cortez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Escobar. The Haywards Heath United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Escobar should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Humberto Villarreal made the kick off in the second half. When Ivan Palencia fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walmley City's protests and gave Ivan Palencia a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Palencia hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Henriquez got free with Abraham Bermudez in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Cortez in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felipe Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Escobar having to interfere. In the 63rdth minute of the game Carmelo Cortez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haywards Heath United's Daniel Escobar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Escobar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Cortez in the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Carmelo Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walmley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Escobar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes of play, Walmley City's Carmelo Cortez made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Escobar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute of the match Jose Boianelli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Escobar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Carmelo Cortez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haywards Heath United's Daniel Escobar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felipe Ramos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Daniel Escobar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walmley City. In the 90th minute of the match Haywards Heath United got a corner. Walmley City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrique Berrueta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ismael Henriquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abraham Bermudez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. If Carmelo Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmley City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
