A collision led to Radlett getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Isaac Alas hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Haywards Heath United's Enrique Berrueta tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Humberto Villarreal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Llorente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Asad, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Januario Brizuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Escobar having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Avilio Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Januario Brizuela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radlett's supporters rose to their feet, but Januario Brizuela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Escobar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Asad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Radlett's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Villarreal came free, but Alfredo Llorente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes Haywards Heath United got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Henriquez. Alonso Baptista's late challenge caught a Haywards Heath United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonso Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Radlett got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Baptista. Isaac Alas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Carlos Asad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alfredo Llorente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Haywards Heath United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Villarreal was the one to do the kick off. In the 79th match minute, Haywards Heath United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Dubon to maneuver through the defense. Avilio Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Daniel Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Haywards Heath United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty!
