Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) Ripley United's Danilo Anaya started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Guillermo Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Danilo Anaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Prado. Clitheroe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danilo Anaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Danilo Anaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rolando Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Félix Hurtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guillermo Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Clitheroe's Odir Melendez in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ripley United's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Ripley United's goal looked a bit too open when Odir Melendez came free, but Carmelo Meza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Odir Melendez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ripley United's Carmelo Meza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Odir Melendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Félix Hurtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Meza having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Odir Melendez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jorge Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carmelo Meza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Odir Melendez went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Félix Hurtado came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Clitheroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Félix Hurtado couldn't finish the play. Clitheroe's Rolando Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Anaya in the 71st minute of play. If Odir Melendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Elias Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ripley United and the Clitheroe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Ripley United got a freekick which was hit by Elias Prado. Carmelo Meza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Félix Hurtado in the 87th minute of the match. Carmelo Meza came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Clitheroe's Odir Melendez. But to his dismay, Odir Melendez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to Clitheroe getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Dennys Verdugo hit a great ball. Odir Melendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clitheroe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ripley United for a fine match.
