The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Liss's Wilber Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Hurtado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cristian Ramirez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin Garay was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Augusto Hurtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilber Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilber Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. Benji Alas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilber Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Richard Liborio fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Partington FC's protests and gave Richard Liborio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Liss booed when Partington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Liborio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Liss's Ramon Díaz, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Liss. With splendid footwork Cristian Ramirez arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-1 by the left pole in the game's 67th minute. Partington FC's Benji Alas got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Erazo was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Partington FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
