Januario Giron had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Alejandro Larios's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Benjamín Batres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Serrano in the 36th minute of play. Richard Serrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Benjamín Batres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Harrow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Medina to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Medina struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Januario Giron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harrow. Januario Giron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Medina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Januario Giron was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Ernesto Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes of play, Preston AFC's Benjamín Bran made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamín Batres was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 95 minutes, Ernesto Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harrow and the Preston AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Ernesto Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamín Batres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamín Bran in the 96th minute of play.
