Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnoldo Bentos in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eraldo Guerrero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Locksheath's Benji Contrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Locksheath from getting a goal against them. Eraldo Guerrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Bentos in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Ovidio Alferez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Zaldaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benji Contrera having to interfere. Shawn Barraza lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 29th minute, one of Lowestoft City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lowestoft City. Manuel Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eraldo Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lowestoft City's Oscar Castaneda got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnoldo Bentos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Locksheath's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Bentos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Sandoval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Guerrero having to interfere. If Manuel Sandoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Lowestoft City's goalkeeper Eraldo Guerrero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Sandoval. Arnoldo Bentos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Manuel Sandoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lowestoft City's Eraldo Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Bentos in the 80th minute of play. When Ovidio Alferez fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lowestoft City's protests and gave Ovidio Alferez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, Lowestoft City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Alferez to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnoldo Bentos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Guerrero saved Lowestoft City from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Manuel Sandoval got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Locksheath's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
