Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Dennys Serrano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Totnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennys Serrano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fleet FC's Deris Bustamante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennys Serrano in the 8th minute of play. Gilberto Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Zapata in the 10th minute of the match. Benjamín Escobar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. With 15 minutes on the clock, Edgardo Villatoro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 14 minutes into the game, one of Fleet FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gilberto Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Zapata, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Dennys Serrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deris Bustamante having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Douglas Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Zapata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Leonel Zapata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fleet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Zapata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Totnes got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Arellano. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dennys Serrano made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Fleet FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Villanueva. In the 55th minute, Leonel Zapata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Contrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Zapata kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 58thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Totnes's keeper Gilberto Pinho was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Dennys Serrano struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Deris Bustamante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Totnes. After a rather tough play, Fleet FC's Leonel Zapata got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Totnes's Mario Umaña got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Totnes's Claudio Arellano got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Alejandro Carranza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fleet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Carranza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 81st minute, Alejandro Carranza sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Totnes's Gilberto Pinho didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Totnes's Gilberto Pinho got control of the ball when Leonel Zapata tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Totnes's goalkeeper Gilberto Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Torres during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fleet FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Totnes had won, even though Fleet FC had held more of the ball.
