Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odir Mayen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Martinez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Leguizamon in the 42nd minute of play forced Wolverhampton's goalkeeper Marvin Barraza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Odir Mayen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexander Martinez. That made the score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Larios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lichfield City's Rudy Leguizamon got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marvin Barraza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Larios, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Alexander Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odir Mayen in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Wolverhampton defense, Rudy Leguizamon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marvin Barraza. The Wolverhampton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marvin Barraza should have stopped the shot. Marvin Barraza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Larios's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Wolverhampton's Marvin Barraza got control of the ball when Rudy Leguizamon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wolverhampton's goalkeeper Marvin Barraza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lichfield City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
